The short version: this is a free planning tool, not advice. Use it, keep your plan, and check anything that matters before you act on it.

Who we are

relocate.werqt.org is run by WERQ TOGETHER, a trans-led nonprofit based in Portland, Oregon. Using this site means you agree to what is on this page.

What this tool is

It helps you build a relocation plan: a sequence with dates, some math on savings and income, and resources that may fit your situation. It is a starting point you control, and it is free.

What this tool is not

It is not legal, medical, financial, immigration, housing, or benefits advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship between us. It cannot tell you whether to move, what will happen to your benefits, or what any agency will decide. When something has real stakes, like disability benefits, custody, a lease, or immigration status, please talk to someone qualified. The plan will point you toward organizations who can help.

Numbers and dates in your plan

The savings target, income figure, and dates are rough guides built from what you entered, using general rules of thumb. They are not quotes, guarantees, or promises about what anything will cost or when it will happen. Real costs and timelines vary. Treat every date as something that can move.

Resources and other organizations

Your plan may list organizations we did not build and do not control. We share them because they may help, not as a guarantee of availability, eligibility, quality, or safety. Listings can be out of date or wrong. Anything you do with another organization is between you and them.

Using the site fairly

Please do not try to break the site, overload it, scrape it in bulk, use it to harm or harass anyone, or misrepresent it as your own. We may limit or block use that does those things.

Your plan and your saved link

Your plan is yours. If you save one, the link is the only way to open it, and anyone holding the whole link can open it. Keep it somewhere safe. Saved plans delete themselves after 90 days without being opened. We cannot recover a plan or a lost link.

Availability

This is a small nonprofit tool. It may be unavailable, change, or be discontinued, and we may update it without notice. Please do not rely on it as the only copy of anything important. Save or print your plan.

Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, WERQ TOGETHER is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the site or from anything you do with a listed organization. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Oregon law governs them. If something here is unclear or seems wrong, tell us and we will look at it.
